Bogus degree of PML-N MNA: LHC seeks report from EC

The Lahore High Court here on Tuesday sought a report from Election Commission Punjab in a petition seeking disqualification of a PML-N MNA Rao Mazhar Hayat from Kasur on charge of bogus degree within a month. The petitioner Arbab Jahangir stated that the respondent at the time of filing nomination papers had submitted his degree of an institute in America.
He said after Supreme Court directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to verify degrees of the Parliamentarians, the degree of the respondent was proved bogus as the American institute did not verify his degree.
