The Sindh Assembly on Monday again rejected leave application of former Chief Minister Sindh, Dr Ghulam Arbab Rahim. During the Sindh Assembly session, Pakistan Muslim League-Likeminded's (PML-L) lawmaker, Arbab Zulfiqar, submitted Arbab Rahim's application for leave, which the house rejected.
In the application, Arbab Rahim requested the house to extend his leave, as he was unable to attend the Assembly sessions for security reasons. He said he had been subjected to physical torture, when he arrived at the Assembly building to take oath as a member of the house.
He pleaded the house not to cancel his membership as an MPA. He sad if the provincial government provided him with security he would attend the assembly. He said at present he was on pilgrimage to Mekha and after attending the religious rituals he would return to Pakistan to attend the assembly session. It was the third time when the house rejected Rahim's leave application.
