Chairman Senate Syed Nayyer Hussain Bukhari said that Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto gave great sacrifices of their lives for the rights of down-trodden people and restoration of democracy in the country. This he stated while talking to media men at Garhi Khuda Bux Bhutto, after visiting the graves of the martyrs of Bhutto's family, on Sunday.
He paid rich tributes to Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto who gave political awakening to the people of the country. He said that he is thankful to President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, the members of Senate and other political parties in the Government who expressed confidence on me.
He said that the President of Pakistan has addressed 5th time to the joint session of parliament in this regard the democratic system may be strengthened in the country and under the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto the President of Pakistan adopted the political reconciliation policy in the interest of people of the country, he added.
He said that it is the responsibilities of leaders of all the political parties to be united and work for the strengthening of democratic system in the country, so that the rights of poor people may be provided without any discrimination.
He said that any kind of conspiracy against the destabilisation of democratic system will not be succeeded at any cost.
The Chairman Senate reiterated of his commitment to struggle for the strengthening democratic system in the country.
He said that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto sacrificed her life for the cause of democracy and poor people and down-trodden, therefore we are duty-bound to carry forward her mission and serve the people in every nook and corner of the country.
He said that the mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto will be completed in latter and spirit.
He added that in the World there is no such example as the PPP leadership gave sacrifices only to strengthen the democratic system and the rights of the poor people in the country.
He said that Shaheed Benazir Bhutto lived her life according to the principles in which Pakistan may be strengthened.
He also said that our Government is trying its utmost to implement the manifesto of the party providing job opportunities to the educated youths, shelter to the shelterless people as well as education and health facilities are being provided to the people in the country without any discrimination.
On the occasion Ex-MNA Ghulam Murtaza Sarti, Ex-MNA Khalid Iqbal Memon, Deputy Commissioner Larkana Abdul Aleem Lashari, PPP leader Ghulam Mustafa Laghari and other concerned officials were present.
