Grams prices fell on the wholesale grain market on Thursday as retailers did not show interest in fresh buying due to higher rates, dealers said. On the grams side, gram Australian No 1 was lower by Rs 300 to Rs 7000-7300, grams Australia No 1 dal shed the same amount to Rs 8400-8700, grams 50x50 dropped by Rs 400 to Rs 8000-8300, yellow peas Canada low type slipped by Rs 50 to Rs 4500 and best quality was lower by Rs 150 to Rs 4700.
Yellow peas dal Canada fell by Rs 50 to Rs 5050-5350, yellow peas Ukraine low quality dropped by Rs 100 to Rs 4400 and good type retained the overnight level at Rs 4600, yellow peas dal Ukraine low type shed Rs 100 to Rs 4900 and best type was down by Rs 200 to Rs 5100 in process of slow trading, they said.
On the cereal side moong Punjab dropped sharply by Rs 500 to Rs 7500, other items held the overnight levels during the lacklustre session, they said. On the seed sector cottonseeds oilcake with bag Sindh low type did not show any change at Rs 450 while the best quality gained Rs 100 to Rs 700, they said.
