A member of the bar has approached the Lahore High Court against Railways Minister for giving tender for new engines to a black listed company. The petitioner Feroz Shah contended that respondent minister against the recommendations of procurement committee allowed tender to a black listed company for the purchase of 79 engines and paid 15 million dollars.
The petitioner contended that respondent minister has already caused damage to the public exchequers in millions of rupees in sale to scrape off railways. The petitioner, therefore, prayed to the court to take notice of illegal acts of the respondent minister and to cancel the tender allowed to a black listed company.
