Chief minister Punjab Literary and Art competitions: prize distribution ceremonies held for 216 students

The cash prizes of amounting Rs 0.829 million have been distributed among the 216 position holder students of tehsil to markaz level in the district under CM Punjab Literary and Art Competitions. The prize distribution ceremonies were held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School Manawala and Government Girls Higher Secondary School Samnabad.
MNA Khalida Mansur and MPA Rana Muhammad Afzal were the chief guests in these ceremonies. Addressing the ceremonies they paid rich tributes to CM Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for promoting extra curricular activities in the education institutions to polish the mental intellectual qualities of the students. They said that the present Punjab government has introduced revolutionary education policies by accepting the challenges of transforming knowledge and skills into new generation. They said that the talented students were being encouraged through handsome prizes and rewards for the acknowledgement of their valuable talents in the field of education and sports. They congratulated the position holder students and advised the other students to come forward for the healthy competitions to achieve the positions in literary and sports competitions.
Chairman District Bait-ul-Mal Committee, Chaudhry Faqir Hussain Dogar greeted the brilliant students and announced the educational scholarships from local Bait-ul -Mal funds to the students having above 50 percent marks in their education results.
DO Education School Khalid Akhtar informed that 108 boys and same number of girls' position holders were being awarded cash prizes who achieved the leading positions in English, Urdu essay writing, speech declamation and art competitions at tehsil to markaz level.
Principal Dr Zafar Iqbal Tahir, Kausar Tasneem, Chairman Private School Association Sadaqat Hussain Lodhi and other officers of Education Department were also present on the occasion. Moreover, the prize distribution of same nature were also held at tehsil Samundri and Jaranwala to distribute the cash prizes among the students.
