The federal budget would be presented in the month of May. This was stated by the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah. He was talking to reporters after addressing a conference at a local hotel on Sunday.
The minister was of the view that after the presentation of the federal budget, there would be consultations with the coalition partners and the opposition regarding determining the date for the general election.
He further said that the general elections would be conducted in a free, fair and transparent manner. Syed Khursheed Shah pointed out that President Asif Ali Zardari has pursued the policy of reconciliation. He said that owing to such an approach, the present government has completed its four years. He was of the view that conspiracies were hatched against the PPP governments in every era.
