Vice Chancellor, Liaquat University of Medical & Health Science Jamshoro, Professor Naushad Ahmed Shaikh chaired 30th syndicate meeting at the campus. Syndicate committee passed several resolutions in the best interest of the University, students and the community after discussion as under.
House unanimously approved to restart stipend of current PG students as per available slots to enable them to continue their research work and duties effectively.
Keeping in view of acute shortage of doctors in Anesthesiology & Intensive Care Unit, stipend of PG's was increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 12,000 to run department more attractive in the interest of the department to provide better care for patients.
The recommendation of the committee headed by Professor Ali Ahmed Ansari to resolve issues of Cardio Department were accepted to provide good treatment in systemic way.
Syndicate members also approved promotions of several officers of various grades on recommendation of Selection Board.
Professor Ali Ahmed Ansari, Professor Dr Mir Mohd Dhari, Professor Dr Faiz Mohd Khan, Professor Aftab Munir, Mohd Saleh Rajar Registrar and other honorable members were also present.
