Flood alert issued in four districts of Hazara

The administration in the wake of the opening of spell ways of Attaabad Lake on February 27 (Monday) issued flood alert regarding increase in water level channels passing through district Kohistan, Torghar, Mansehra and Haripur. Commissioner, Hazara Division, Mohammad Khalid Khan Omarzai while issuing prior warning to the people living on the banks of Indus River and water channels in the four districts had asked the people to adopt precautionary measures.
Regarding contacts with the administration of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Commissioner Hazara said that decision regarding the release of water from Attaabad Lake had taken due to the storage of more than capacity water is stored in the lake. He said the spell ways of the lake will be opened on February 27. The Commission appealed the people living on the bank of Indus River and other water passages to shift to safe areas as precautionary measures.
