Chief minister's sports festival: PU football team win qualifying match

Punjab University's Football Team has won the 1st qualifying match of Chief Minister's Sports Festival 2012 by beating University of the Engineering and Technology 2-0. In a nail-biting contest, Qayyum Furqan played outstandingly, giving one-to-one passes and struck the first goal for his team in the 45th minute by gently placing the ball in the bottom left of the pole.
Seven minutes later, the swift run of Rashid Masih single handedly gifted his team a stunner when he dribbled the ball and fired it to the middle of the goal post with perfection. This extended the lead which remains firm till the full time whistle.
