KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Monday at 24,658.33 points with a negative change of -236.58 and volume of 112,096,200 shares. High and Low were 25,007.64 and 24,601.75 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 9 were up, 21 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 192,333,270 shares. Total companies traded were 377 of which 152 were positive, 208 were negative and 17 were unchanged.

Commercial Banks was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 50,052,200 shares. It was followed by Cement with a total traded volume of 32,683,800 shares.

The top three advancers were Unilever Pakistan Food Limited with a volume of 60 and price per share of 8,000 (100.00), Ghandhara Industries Limited with a volume of 86,700 and price per share of 607.80 (28.94), Khyber Tobacco Co Ltd with a volume of 3,120 and price per share of 1,037.49 (24.52).

The top three decliners were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 11,600 (-250.00), Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 2,403 (-97.00), Pakistan Tobacco Company Limited with a volume of 3,780 and price per share of 2,048.82 (-51.18).
