By-elections: public holiday declared in Badin, Hyderabad

On special directives of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Commissioner Hyderabad Division Ahmed Bux Narejo on Friday declared public holiday in Badin and Hyderabad districts as well Taluka Hyderabad Rural of Hyderabad district on Saturday with the objective to facilitate the voters to exercise their right to franchise in by-elections in PS-53 and PS-57.
However, besides law enforcement agencies, the employees of Water and Sanitation Agency, Hyderabad Electric Supply Company, Sui Southern Gas Company Limited, all institutions of health department, municipal committees and civil agencies will remain on duty on Saturday to ensure a peaceful atmosphere on polling day in these Provincial Assembly constituencies.
