London: Europe's main stock markets steadied at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index down 0.1 percent at 7,723.18 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 edged up 0.1 percent to 13,572.71 points, while the Paris CAC 40 was almost flat at 5,532.85 points compared with the closing levels on Tuesday.
