Recently, another iPhone battery exploded in China but not due to the usual reason seen previously, but instead this time it was because a man ‘bit’ the battery that resulted in the explosion.

According to Taiwan News, the closed-circuit television footage showed that the man came in an electronics store in China to get his iPhone battery replaced because of the recent iPhone battery troubles. To probably test the battery’s authenticity, the man bit the battery that exploded the device.

CEO claims Apple informed users before slowing down iPhones

Reports suggest that luckily no injuries were caused, despite the explosion being inches away from the man’s face. The video went viral on social media where one user wrote, “The battery is not gold, why are you biting it?”

As per Apple Insider, the man was probably biting on the battery to test its durability or authenticity, inspired from the logic when people bite an item to make sure it’s made of real gold. Though it’s not really clear if the bite caused the explosion or maybe because the battery was fake, yet majority believe that the battery was ruptured because of his teeth.
