US MIDDAY: grains ease

Grains eased on Friday, on course to end streaks of gains that have lasted more than a week, but concerns about below-normal rainfall in Brazil and Argentina kept prices underpinned. Corn, soybeans and wheat have hit multi-week highs this week and look to notch big weekly gains, even as volumes thin ahead of a holiday weekend.
Chicago Board of Trade January soybeans slipped 1-1/2 cents or 0.1 percent to $11.60-3/4 a bushel by 9:57 am CST (1557 GMT), on track to snap a six-session streak of gains. Wheat for March delivery dipped 3/4 cent to $6.21 a bushel. March corn lost 1-1/4 cent or 0.2 percent at $6.16-1/4 a bushel, as all three grains gave up slim overnight gains. Corn and wheat have settled higher in five straight sessions.
