Four people were killed but 100 rescued when an overloaded boat sank in Indonesia on Wednesday, as hopes faded for any more survivors from a migrants' vessel which capsized with around 250 on board. The latest accident came as rescuers were still retrieving bloated and rotting bodies from Saturday's disaster, in which only 47 survivors were rescued.
That vessel, which had a capacity of 100 but was carrying about two and a half times as many mostly Afghan and Iranian migrants, bound for Australia, sank 40 nautical miles off eastern Java early Saturday. Officials said that the boat that went down Wednesday off the Maluku islands in Indonesia's east.
