ICE Canadian canola futures mostly rose on Monday, bouncing off a 10-day low, on support from a weaker Canadian dollar and stronger soyabean futures, traders said. Canola also gained strength after January support held at $496.10 and with farmer selling remaining light - trader. January canola futures gained $1.40 to $500.90 per `tonne on volume of 8,637 contracts.
March added 80 cents to 501.40 a tonne on volume of 9,468 contracts. Deferred months lower. January-March spread traded 6,005 times, settling at a March premium of 50 cents. Chicago January soyabeans gained 5 US cents to US $11.12 per bushel on dry weather concerns in South America. January soyaoil lost 0.28 cent to 49.32 US cents per lb. MATIF February rapeseed slipped 0.8 percent, February palm oil lost 2.8 percent.
