South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA) in its award ceremony held in Dhaka Bangladesh, on 29th November, 2011, awarded a "Certificate of Merit Award" to First Habib Modaraba for "Best Presented Accounts" and "Corporate Governance Disclosures" for the year 2010.
This award has been given from the category of Non-Banking Financial Sector. Within this sector, there were only two nominees from Pakistan and First Habib Modaraba was one of them. SAFA is an Apex Body of South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC). This body represents member of the national chartered accountancy and management accountancy institutions in the South Asian countries namely Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. This is second consecutive "Certificate of Merit" award to Habib Modaraba from SAFA committee. It is a great honour not only for Habib Modaraba but also for entire Modaraba sector.-PR
