ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) has decided to construct two new motels in the federal capital to facilitate tourists.
According to details one motel would be constructed near Sharparian and other near a local hotel.
Managing Director PTDC Abdul Ghafoor talking to APP said that the corporation has declared 2018 a tourism year and all ongoing projects would be completed soon, he added.
He said, "I have declared 2018 a tourism year and all tasks would be completed with devotion and determination."
Abdul Ghafoor said that PTDC would also construct new tourist resorts in capital to attract tourists and renovate and improve existing resorts to facilitate them according to the international standards.
He said that PTDC would construct a motel near shakarparian on 30 kanal land. PTDC would also renovate its motel at Damne Koh, he added.
He said PTDC would take different initiatives to promote tourism and to make organization financially viable entity. "We have contacted manufacturers of prefabricated structure to increase the number of rooms in existing PTDC motels, he added.
He said IT department is developing an Online Reservation System for all PTDC Motels where tourists would easily book their rooms online.
