At least eight persons have been killed and 22 others injured in a road accident on Quetta-Chaman highway near Saranan area of Pishin district on Monday. Police said that a speedy passenger bus and a truck collided head on at Hamid Cross near Saranan area. As a result, eight persons including two women and a child were killed and 22 others were wounded.
The wounded were rushed to Pishin hospital while some of them were referred to Quetta based hospital due to serious condition. The ill-fated bus was heading towards border town of Chaman from the provincial capital Quetta. Deputy Commissioner Pishin Mansoor Kakar has declared emergency at hospitals. According to doctors, the condition of some wounded was very serious.
