Major blow for Karachi Kings as Mitchell Johnson part ways  

Former Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson has pulled himself out from upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) over personal reasons.

The speedster confirmed the news via twitter that he will not be taking part in the upcoming PSL. “Yes I am making myself unavailable this PSL18 for personal reasons and also for me to schedule myself the way I feel works best for me this year for 20/20 tournaments. These are the only reasons for me not playing. I wish KK the best for the season,” he tweeted.

The Australian fast bowler, who was in the platinum category of players for the PSL was picked by Karachi Kings after being demoted to the Diamond category for the third season of PSL.

Another reason was his unwelcoming relationship with Karachi Kings’ coach Mickey Arthur over an infamous homeworkgate scandal.

Johnson was one of four players suspended for the third Test of the 2013 tour of India, along with Shane Watson, Usman Khawaja and James Pattinson.
