Special Olympic games were held here at main campus of Tanzeem Al Lisan Dhobi Ghat to mark the world day for special persons. DCO Naseem Sadiq was the chief guest on the occasion and he inaugurated the special Olympic games by lighting the torch and leaving the pigeons and colourful balloons in the air. He witnessed the competitions of different games among the special children and lauded their striving for win the competitions.
Speaking on the occasion he said that it was joint responsibilities of the society to look after the special children besides their education, training and rehabilitation. He said that the special persons should be given ample opportunities for participating in the social activities, so that they could lead their lives with full confidence.
Appreciating the performance of the Tanzeem Al Lisan in special education sector, he said that the special children were being imparted with the education and different vocational training with passion and skill. He asked the philanthropists to come forward in the field of rehabilitation of special children to share the burden of their parents.
He distributed the prizes among the special children participated in the different games. MD PHA Ashiq Dogar, EDO CD Asif Tarar, DO Social Welfare Chaudhry Sarfraz, District Manager Child Protection Bureau Umar Daraz Bhatti, President Tanzeem Seth Iftikhar, Senior Vice President Subhan Ali, General Secretary Ifikhar Ahmad, Executive member Waheed Khaliq Ramay, Manager Public Relations Serena Hotel Laila Farrukh, other officers of hotel management and a large number of parents of the special children were also present on the occasion.
