KARACHI: Sindh Rangers on Monday claimed to have arrested 18 accused, including four diesel smugglers during different targeted raids in the metropolis.
According to Rangers spokesperson, a Rangers team carried out a targeted raid near Tool Plaza and seized 450000 liters of smuggled Iranian diesel from an oil tanker and a van, However, they arrested four smugglers, Abdul Hafiz, Muhammad Jan, Iqbal and Muhammad Irfan.
Separately, a rangers’ party carried out search operations in Bahadurabad, Ittehad Town, Sachal, Malir, and Awami Colony and arrested 11 street criminals, Orangzaib, Ali Hyder, Imran Khan, Israr Ali, Maraj Udin, Lal Khan, Hamid, Muhammad Ajaz, Saleem and Ayaz. Meanwhile, a rangers’ team detained three drug peddlers, Muhammad Esa, Nazir Muhammad and Shah Nawaz.
The rangers also recovered weapons, drugs and contrabands from their possession. The arrested accused were handed over to the police for further legal formalities.
