MULTAN: Punjab Governor Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana has said that the government is working on introducing amendments to the local government (LG) laws to create a balance of power between the people's representatives.
He said the local government representatives are an asset and strength of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) at gross-roots level.
Talking to a delegation of LG vice-chairmen, he said that the government could not ignore the public representatives and different measures were under way to address their concerns.
The urged the visiting delegation to extend proposals regarding amendments to the LG laws. Every elected representative has great importance, he added.
Special prayers were offered for the minor girl Zainab, who was killed in Kasur.
