Poisonous liquor claims four more lives

Poisonous liquor on Thursday claimed four more persons, taking the death toll to 16. According to police and rescuers, four more bodies including Ilyas, 43, Abdur Razaq, 45 and Abdur Razaq Lasi and an unknown body were brought to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC).
They said that seven more persons, who also consumed this toxic liquor, were taken to JPMC in critical condition. The injured were identified as Javeed Masi, 34, Imran, 27, Babu Lal, 26, Zakariya, 28, Muhammad Saleem, 22, Abdur Rehman, 16 and Mukesh 36. SHO Raza Nasrullah said all the deceased and injured took the liquor on the same day and added that three persons were taken into custody in this connection while the raids to detain more are being conducted.
