KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the lower side on Tuesday at 23,563.26 points with a negative change of -231.73 and volume of 150,911,300 shares. High and Low were 23,830.78 and 23,401.68 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 10 were up, 20 were down and 0 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 225,340,450 shares. Total companies traded were 370 of which 132 were positive, 217 were negative and 21 were unchanged.

Technology and Communication was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 44,949,500 shares. It was followed by Cable and Electrical Goods with a total traded volume of 17,706,950 shares.

The top three advancers were Wyeth Pakistan Limited with a volume of 4,120 and price per share of 1,672.72 (79.65), Island Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 6,000 and price per share of 962.75 (44.95), Bhanero Textile Mills Limited with a volume of 700 and price per share of 735 (35.00).

The top three decliners were Bata Pakistan Limited with a volume of 20 and price per share of 2,450 (-46.66), Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 480 and price per share of 1,510 (-40.39), Indus Motor Company Limited with a volume of 24,500 and price per share of 1,751.48 (-33.71).
