PU vice chancellor for allocation of sufficient funds for education sector
Punjab University Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Mujahid Kamran has said the prosperity, solidarity and sovereignty of a nation are directly related to its education, policies and continuous struggle. Unfortunately, in our country, the educational policies were changed with the change of governments and no government had allocated sufficient national budget for this sector.
The Vice Chancellor, in his message, has offered his heartiest greetings to the varsity teachers, students and employees on the festive day of Eid-ul-Fitr. He urged the leadership to allocate at least 4 percent of total budget (GDP) on education every year. He said one of the basic purposes of the eve of Eid was to develop unity among the Muslim Ummah and this cause must ever be remembered.
He said on the occasion of Eid, every student, teacher, politician, journalist, labourer and every Pakistani must make a commitment to themselves and their nation that they would play their role to combat against the internal and external threats faced to Pakistan.
