Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has decided to make special traffic deployment for "Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr" wherein extra duties of ITP personnel have been assigned in markets, shopping areas, mosques and public parks to maintain the smooth traffic flow for facilitation of general public. Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Dr Moeen Masood finalised these arrangements and said that ITP has also deployed special moving squads to control the traffic.
A comprehensive deployment programme of ITP personnel had been chalked out for "Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr" covering all the markets, shopping areas apart from special squads to control the traffic and to facilitate the general public. SSP Traffic Dr Moeen Masood said that action would be taken against the miscreants who violate traffic laws and create hindrance in smooth flow of traffic on "Chand Raat".
Cops to be deployed to facilitate the general public in parking of their vehicles coming for Eid prayer in mosques and duties of ITP personnel will also be deployed at Public Parks. The SSP also urged the citizens to act in a civilised way, not to cause hindrances in traffic flow and maintain road discipline. He directed the ITP officials to ensure zero tolerance but not misbehave with the general public to enforce traffic laws with politeness but firmness.
