All available resources to be utilized for reconstruction of flood-hit area of Sindh

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani on Friday told the National Assembly that all available resources will be utilized for reconstruction of infrastructure in the flood-affected areas of Sindh.

Responding to various Points of Order, regarding the issue, he said, the floods had badly damaged the infrastructure in Sindh and the government tried its best to asses the damages in the flood-hit areas.

The Prime Minister said that he had directed the Ministry for Communication and National Highway Authority to asses the damages of roads and bridges, besides assessment of damages of Wapda schools, hospitals are also underway.

The Prime Minister said that he has convened a meeting of Parliamentary Party of PPP Sindh on Friday in which all the issues relating to flood-hit areas will be discussed and special attention would be given to get it implemented. APP/mik/mub ?AFP
