Bashir Qureshi, Sarki reject Mirza's allegations

Chairman, Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM), Bashir Khan Qureshi, and President, Jeay Sindh Tehreek (JST), Dr Safdar Sarki, have outrightly rejected Dr Zulifqar Mirza's allegations that the they had called him to release those who have been arrested in connection with the alleged conspiracy to kill him.
Talking to Business Recorder here on Monday separately, they explained that once they had telephoned Dr Mirza for release of two office-bearers of JST who were apprehended by police in another matter but they did not know anything about the alleged conspiracy to kill Mirza. Dr Zulifqar Mirza while talking to a private news channel had alleged Dr Sarki and Bashir Khan telephoned him to release those arrested for conspiring to kill him.
Bashir Qureshi said that he knew nothing about the alleged plot, then how he could telephoned him to release the conspirators. He said that he had telephoned Dr Mirza for release of two JST activists, Suhail Abro and Zubair Lakho, who were arrested by local police when terrorists attacked homes of Sindhi families in Layari.
He said that they were followers of G. M. Syed who had always supported non-violent policy and struggled for the rights of Sindh with peaceful means. He said that Dr Zulifqar Mirza was his brother and would remain so then why he would make any conspiracy to kill him.
Dr Sarki also mentioned the matter of the two JST activists and said the two workers of his party were arrested by police, when terrorists had attacked homes of Sindhi families in Layari and they had torched offices of his party as well. He said that he had telephoned Dr Mirza and Manzoor Wasan as party head but he did not ask Mirza to release those who had been booked in his murder conspiracy.
Dr Sarki said that the anchor should have taken his version about the alleged plot as his professional and ethical responsibility but he did not. Despite this, Dr Sarki said, he welcomed Dr Mirza's press conference and said that all other PPP leaders should speak truth like Mirza. He said that G.M Syed was of the view that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) was doing everything for coming into power and Dr Mirza press conference proved it.
