ISLAMABAD: Ambassador to the United States Aizaz Chaudhry on Wednesday said that Pakistan had achieved unprecedented success in the war against terrorism.
"We have taken action against anti-Pakistan forces, " he said while talking to PTV.
Commenting on the Afghan issue, he said that there should be a political solution in Afghanistan. Using military was not the option for resolving the Afghan issue, where most of the territory was not under the control of the government, he added.
He said Pakistan was a sovereign country and hostile statements by the United States against a sovereign state would not help achieve goals and targets against terrorism.
However, it was imperative to maintain relations with the US. Both the countries had expectations from each other, and they should maintain good relations for achieving the targets, Aizaz Chaudhry said.
