The Swiss franc was broadly stable against the euro and the dollar on Thursday, trading in a tight band as investors awaited a key speech form US Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke on Friday for any sign of a third round of quantitative easing.
The franc was 0.1 percent lower against the euro compared to the New York close, trading at 1.1482 francs per euro at 0652 GMT. The franc was stable against the dollar at 0.7959 francs per dollar.
