Adnan Farooq Ahmed has been named to lead Pakistan football team in the one-off test matches against arch-rival being played at Derby on September 3, Pakistan Football Federation (PFFA) announced on Thursday. The national football team will be flying to United Kingdom from Islamabad through Etihad Airways on Saturday to participate in the Clash of The Titans Football Series against India.
According to a press release issued here by PFF, newly appointed captain Adnan in his statement said that "I am honoured to be captaining Pakistan in all my 9 years as a professional. This will be my greatest honour. The two Asian sub-continent's most powerful sides will meet on September 3 at Derby Pride Park and on September 9 in Glasgow, Scotland.
