Lahore and Peshawar High courts President confirms additional judges

President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday confirmed four additional judges of the Peshawar High Court and three additional judges of the Lahore High Court. Spokesperson Farhatullah Babar said that the additional judges of the LHC who were confirmed on Wednesday included Justice Sagheer Ahmad Qadri, Justice Kh. Imtiaz Ahmed and Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan.
The four additional judges of the PHC confirmed on Wednesday are Justice Attaullah Khan, Justice Miftahuddin Khan, Justice Mian Fasihul Mulk and Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel. Earlier the Parliamentary Committee on the appointment of Judges had unanimously endorsed the nomination of these judges for confirmation by the Judicial Commission of Pakistan. After the due constitutional process the President acting on the advice of the Prime Minister accorded his assent on Wednesday to confirm them as Additional Judges of the respective High Courts, he said.-PR
