There is no let up in the spread of dengue fever in Punjab, as the number of patients suffering from dengue fever has reached 274. As many as 47 new cases have been reported during the last 24 hours: From Lahore, 45 cases have been reported while one each case from Multan and Faisalabad.
The number of the patients suffering from the dengue fever has started increasing with change in weather. Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, while chairing a meeting to review measures for controlling dengue virus, has said that control of dengue virus is the collective responsibility of Punjab government and other departments concerned. He directed that heads of health, local government and other departments concerned should personally supervise the campaign against dengue virus and take it up as a challenge.
