Ummah Welfare Trust, a charity organisation has provided relief goods to flood-hit people of district Badin and MirpurKhas. In a press release issued here on Saturday said that food and logistic consignment had arrived in the flood-affected districts following the directives of Trust Chairman, Maulana Mohammad Idress.
The assistance package is comprised of food and non-food items, including edibles, tents, livelihood, shoes, and clothes, which were distributed among the flood-hit people in their makeshift camps in district Badin and Mirpurkhas. More than 500 families would take benefit from the package affected by recent flash floods and torrential rains in different districts of Sindh province.
The trust had also established a mobile medical camp for provision of health facilities to flood- hit people. Similarly, the trust had made special arrangements for distribution of food items during Sehr and Iftar at the camps. The trust would also distribute Eid package among 2,000 flood-affected children on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr as well. The chairman Trust said that his organisation would provide all possible assistance to flood-affected people.
