Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif while expressing sympathies with the rain-affected people of Badin district vowed to continue efforts on behalf of Punjab Government for providing relief and rehabilitation to the affected people of the district.
The people of Punjab remained with their brothers of Sindh in these tragic moments and wanted to provide maximum relief to the rain-affected people of Sindh, the Punjab Chief Minister said while addressing people who had gathered at Karachi Road here on Saturday.
Mian Shahbaz Sharif, who came here along with 36 truck-loads of food ration for the rain-affected people, said that it is the first consignment sent by the people of Punjab as a token of gift. The relief goods have also been dispatched to rain-affected people of Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar and Mirpurkhas districts which were also badly hit by recent heavy rains, he said and added that dispatching of relief goods would continue till the rehabilitation of affected people of the province.
