Six more people were killed and five others injured in Karachi's on going violence on Saturday. Bullet riddled body of a man was recovered from Hussainabad area in the limits of Jauharabad Police Station in the early hours of Saturday, police said. An official at the police station said the deceased was identified as Gul Alim son of Gul Mohammed who was a resident of Aisha Manzil.
He was an Afghani and a garbage picker. He sustained bullets in his abdomen and arm. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Separately a man was killed when unidentified-armed men opened fire on him in Orangi Town early Saturday morning, police said.
An official at the station said 45-year-old Sakhi Dad alias Sakoo son of Qadir Bux was driving his van when the culprits sprayed bullets on him near Dabaa Mor. He died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. An Air force employee, 36 years old Zafar Ali Nazeer shot dead near Mona dental clinic, Khokhrapar. SHO Shafqat Chandio said deceased reached Karachi from Nawabshah to visit his sister home residing in Faisal Base. Police found his body and registered the FIR 137/11 against unknown assailants.
In another incident, Mochko police found a bullet-riddled body near the N-5 bus stop and shifted morgue for identification after autopsy at Civil Hospital Karachi. One more unknown shot dead body was found near from Qalandri Chock, Shahra-e-Noor Jahan, and shifted morgue for autopsy after medical examination. An injured of Chakra Goth ethnic violence namely Rizwan son of Ibrahim succumbed to his injures during treatment. Deceased was wounded late night on Friday. Meanwhile five persons were injured in firing incidents in different parts of the city early Saturday morning.
As per details, two men were injured in a firing incident at Aziz Nagar in the limits of Pakistan Bazar Police Station. An official at the station said 28-year-old Fazal Ali son of Abdullah, deputed to give wakeup calls at sehri time, was killed when two unidentified armed men riding a bike open fire on him. He boarded in an Edhi ambulance along with his cousin 35-year-old Mehboob s/o Ramzan. While they were on their way to hospital, the unidentified culprits again fired on them; injuring Mehboob as well. Both the injured persons were taken to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment, police said.
Police has registered FIR No 299/2011 under sections 324/34 Pakistan Penal Code and has started probe. In another firing incident, three persons received bullet injuries when unidentified armed men at Safora chowrangi, in the limits of Sachal Police Station, opened fire on them. An official at the station said 27-year-old Shaukat, Zubair 30 and 25-year-old Feroz were standing out side a building Arif Arcade situated near Safora chowrangi, when unidentified armed men riding on a bike opened fire on them. As a result they received bullet injuries and were rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment, police said.
