The economic development and promotion of trade and commerce is the cornerstone of self-reliance and sovereignty of the country. The Chambers have always been playing a vital role in this respect. I am glad that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry, living up to its traditions and expectations, is honouring the leading businessmen with Achievement Awards.
The LCCI good work would certainly inspire business community to work extraordinarily hard in future as well. By the grace of Almighty Allah, the business community is earning a good name for the country with sheer hard work, insight and wisdom.
They certainly deserve acknowledgement and appreciation. The Lahore Chamber's decision to confer Achievement Awards on outstanding businessmen is a step in right direction. I congratulate LCCI President Mr Shahzad Ali Malik, Senior Vice President Sheikh Mohammad Arshad and Vice President Mr Sohail Azhar for holding such a prestigious event. I also applaud the award winners and wish them more success in future.
