'SSHs to be affiliated with various hospitals'

Punjab Labour Minister Haji Ehsaanuddin Qureshi has said social security hospitals (SSHs) will be affiliated with various hospitals while terms and conditions are being formulated in this regard. Talking to delegations of labourers on Wednesday, he said focus of the government was upon primary and protective health to achieve millennium development goals (MDGs).
He said the Punjab government had reserved Rs 42.3 billion for provision of health care facilities to people in the province during current fiscal year. He said labourers' hospitals would be updated and new social security hospitals would be established in Sheikhupura, Rahim Yar Khan and Jhang.
