Cocoa butter ratios fell to their lowest since 2002 in Asia as grinders struggled to sell excess stocks, but demand for powder helped lift prices to their highest in 11 years above $5,000 a tonne, dealers said on Friday. Grinders in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore quoted butter ratios at 1.10 times London futures, down from 1.20 two weeks ago.To offset sluggish demand for butter, grinders pushed powder prices up as high as $5,500.
