Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while congratulating the nation on the occasion of Independence Day has said that the historic day of August 14 reminds us those unforgettable sacrifices which our forefathers had rendered for achieving an independent state under the leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
He said that Independence Day demands us joint efforts by remaining above personal interests for achieving the real objectives of creation of Pakistan. On this happy occasion, we would have to pledge utilising all energies for the progress, prosperity and stability of the country.
In his message on the eve of Independence Day, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that achievement of Pakistan is the result of great struggle of Muslims of sub-continent and this independent country is a blessing of Almighty Allah. Celebrating the Independence Day in a befitting manner is a hallmark of living nations and like every year, this time also, Pakistani people will celebrate Independence Day enthusiastically. He said this historical day reminds us today that if we are sincere and honest to our cause, then the achievement of the destination is not impossible. We would have to evolve such a strategy for future by reviewing our failures today, through implementation of which, we could put the country on the road to progress, he added.
