Provincial Minister for Labour Sher Azam Wazir said that mega welfare project would be initiated for labourers of Lakki Cement factory in the current fiscal that would cost Rs 10 billion.
He said that apart from constructing 1000 residential units for labourers besides providing health, education and recreational facilities there. Talking to media persons on Wednesday, Labour Minister said that community centres would also be constructed in the housing colony with a view to provide basic facilities of life to the labourers of Lakki Cement Factory. He said the government was mulling to initiate a mega uplift project for the labourers and construction of 3,400 flats for the labourers of Workers Welfare Board Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was on cards.
