Sindh Government has highly appreciated the work done by Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) in various fields of disaster management. In a communication to SSUET Chancellor Z. A. Nizami, the Secretary Rehabilitation Department, Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) specially made mention of university's report on "Rain Emergency 2011".
The PDMA also commended the University's three reports on Disaster Management and development of warning system for Coastal Regions of Pakistan and the report on global warning besides report on seismic zones of Pakistan. PDMA called for power point presentations for each report along with workable action plan to mitigate the disasters as elaborated in these reports.-PR
