Sindh Home Minister, Manzoor Hussain Wasan on Wednesday directed to beef-up security, patrolling and secret vigilance in the surroundings of mosques, imambargahs and public places, especially during timing of Tarraweeh. In this regard, he directed the IGP Sindh, DIGs, SSPs, DSPs, SHOs and their sub-ordinate officials to improve security arrangements, said a statement.
The Sindh Home Minister observed that ensuring protection of lives and properties of the people is among the utmost priorities of the police department. Keeping in view flux of people at places of worship as well as in commercial centres, markets and public places during Ramazan, ample security arrangements be ensured accordingly, the Home Minister directed. He directed the officials to visit sensitive places themselves to check the presence of staff as well as frequently review the situation to improve efficiency. Manzoor Hussain Wasan further directed to make arrangements for improving traffic flow and parking in the surroundings of markets and commercial centres.
