The City School in collaboration with Waste Busters is organising a four-day cleanliness campaign, "Let's Bin It!" from Thursday (today) to August 14th, 2011. The campaign is aimed at creating awareness among the public regarding the problem of littering and to inculcate a sense of civic responsibility.
Regional Director City School, Michelle Amir said that the focal point of the campaign will be a Carnival Float, which will visit different places around Lahore, including Defence Housing Authority, Fortress Stadium, Shami Road, Cavalry Ground, Firdous Market, Liberty Market, Gulberg Main Boulevard, Sherpao Bridge, Jail Road and Shadman during these 4 days, completing its route at The Mall of Lahore.
Amir said that the students would encourage the public en route to sign on a resolution, pledging to stop littering. Souvenirs such as litter bags, badges, car-stickers will be distributed among the people who sign on this resolution and thus join The City Schools in this social responsibility initiative.
