Restoration of LGs system in Sindh: ANP stages protest walkout from National Assembly for second day

Awami National Party (ANP) on Wednesday staged token walkout from the National Assembly in protest against the revival of Local Governments (LGs) system in Sindh and said that it would continue its protest until the commissionarate system is restored in the province.
Pakistan People's Party (PPP) MNA from Sindh, Syed Zafar Ali also strongly demanded of the government to restore the commissionerate system in the province. Jamila Gilani of ANP on a point of order said that her party would continue its protest until the ordinance about restoration of LGs System in Sindh was withdrawn. She said that ANP was a coalition partner of the government but it was not taken into confidence on the issue.
Syed Zafar Ali Shah said that PPP government had become hostage and ordinance was promulgated in the dark of night. He said that the people were being appointed and recruited on political basis.
"I do not want to see Interior Minister Rehman Malik and Babar Awan on soil of Sindh. We do not need these people to solve the situation of Karachi," he said. The National Assembly today (Wednesday) also continued its debate on law and order situation in Karachi and Quetta.
Jamshad Dasti said that PPP was a national party and it would never fan ethnicity in the country. He said that the people of his constituency peacefully demanded of the government to establish a new province. "Our people are making this demand peacefully. Our people can stage long march for this purpose but we will adopt peaceful ways, he said.
Laiq Muhammad Khan of JUI-F criticised the statement of Senator Afrasiab Khattak about new province of South Pakhtunkhwa in Balochistan and said that first the ANP should support the people of Hazara for new province in KP. He claimed that KP government sprayed bullets on peaceful protesters in Hazara for demanding new province. Kamaran Khan MNA from FATA said that during last 60 years Senator Afrasiab Khattak did not remember to merge FATA into KP. He said that in the prevailing circumstances it was not impossible.
PPP MNA from FATA Akhtonzada Chatan said that they had already made a demand for reforms in FATA by removing FCR. He suggested to establish a council in FATAm which would decide the future of tribal areas. Bushra Gohar of ANP while clarifying the statement of Senator Afrasiab Khattak said that ANP had already demanded to merge FATA into KP. She said that ANP was in favour of more provinces in the country for better management.
Zafar Beg Bhittani said that some elements were trying to divide the nation on ethnic bases. He said that all the political parties should play their due role to resolve the issue of Karachi. Naseer Bhutta, Muhmmad Bashir Virk and others also participated in the debate.
