The 8th AFC Legal Committee meeting was held on Thursday, at Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. The Chairman AFC Legal Committee and president of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat presided over the meeting and the following members attended the meeting. Ms Moya Dodd, Australia, Robert Torres, Guam, Thilinia Panditarantne, Sri Lanka and Issa Saleh Al Hawsani, UAE.
According to the PFF statement, the appointment of chairman Legal Committee is a unique honour for the Pakistani football family, which reflects trust reposed in the leadership of Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat. The committee reviewed various articles of AFC statutes and AFC disciplinary code and gave its recommendations for their implementation. The committee also discussed the need for the establishment of AFC Ethics Committee.
