The Swiss franc pushed towards record levels against the euro on Friday as ratings agency Moody's said it may downgrade Spain's debt and a spike in Italian borrowing costs added to eurozone debt concerns. The franc also closed in on the all time high against the dollar hit earlier in the week after US lawmakers delayed a crucial vote on raising the debt ceiling on Thursday evening.
The franc rose 0.4 percent against the euro compared to the New York close, trading at 1.1428 francs to the euro at 0643 GMT.
