A high level Thai delegation visited the office of Punjab Board of Investment and Trade (PBIT) and held talks regarding the scope of Thai investment in the province.
According to a PBIT spokesperson, here on Tuesday, Nat Pinyowattanacheep, Minister Department of South Asian, Middle East and African Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, headed the delegation, which included representatives of Thai Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Thai industries, Thai Investment Promotion offices, SME's database and Static's Division, Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
PBIT Chief Executive Officer, Dr Sajid Yosufani chaired the meeting and apprised the delegates of the opportunities present in the sectors of energy, dairy and livestock with emphasis on Halal meat, retail, automobiles, agriculture and textiles in Punjab for investment.
He told them that the climate for investment in Punjab is immensely favourable for foreign investors, as the government has taken solid measures to facilitate foreign investments by providing one-window platform for facilitation and industrial zones located on strategic locations of Punjab.
